| Well we did it. Unless the unforseen happens (which let's face it it can) we take possession of a little cottage in Beaver Flats June 15! Can you believe it? Wayne is so excited that I had to hold him back from going down there the minute we got the title and deed! Now, it is going to be a work of love but Wayne feels up for the challenge (notice I said Wayne, not me). It is always interesting how God works things out though. We went there to look at another property which was sold for $40,000 more than the listed price about 3 hours before we got there. We went out to look anyway and this place had just got up in a private sale. Anyway, they were asking a lot more but for some reason (perhaps God) went down to something we (and the bank) thought we would be able to afford. This has always been a shared dream of ours and it all worked out. So, you're all invited. It needs some fixing up but it is an old house from Swift Current moved out, there are four bedrooms, stinky carpet and lino but underneath is beautiful barely scarred (but a little which is what I like) old hardwood underneath everything, new wiring, siding and shingles in place. If you have a weekend to spare, there will be cold drinks and some work to do but a good barbeque to end things after all is said and done. Pics to come soon.

| I'm ba-ack. Lots of things going on around our house. It is almost Easter, started a new job, kids are growing like weeds so I had a good bout of spring cleaning and got rid of all (well not really) of their clothes that don't fit them any more. We have now mastered potty training for Prezzy. He is very proud of himself because he can stand up to pee and has just caught on that he is of a rare breed. He discovered this at the babysitters. It went down like this... one of the little girls asked why he didn't need help going pee anymore from the sitter, he just goes by himself. Preston replied " because I know how to stand up and pee". The little girl was very impressed and said 'oh, I still have to sit down'. Anyway, now he stands with his hands on his hips, he thinks he is very cool if not just a little bored with the whole process. Trista is doing good in school. She is in art classes which she just loves and if I do say so myself, an awesome reader! We are into having tea parties with bacon bits, crackers and water . On our Sasktel Max package we can order movies and Trista likes to watch a cartoon movie of the life of Jesus which is pretty neat but she always has a lot of questions. Prezzy doesn't have questions but he does like to watch it too. Lastly, I went to a parenting conference with Dr. Tim Kimmel. It was awesome. The sessions were based on Parenting with Grace. The premise is that we use the same grace given to us by God when we are dealing with our children. Also, make sure that we don't use legalism as a guide in parenting. Legalism is repugnant to the Lord (just look at the words Jesus used about the Pharisees and Saducees). We need to make sure that we allow our kids to express themselves. However, this does not mean that we do not discipline our children. We should just pick and choose the battle. What REALLY matters? Anyway, if he is in your area....go. Happy Easter.....He is Risen!

| Woo hoo... strike is over, today is Wayne's last day at the jailhouse! And... we get to go away skiing. Strange that I still feel a little down in the dumps and am wondering if it isn't that time of year and a little seasonal effect? I might take Wayne's remedy and do a little suntanning. Now, some family members have warned me that it isn't good for me and I do not disagree however, I have already tried the shopping thing and could find one darn thing to buy. When shopping doesn't interest you... well you gotta turn elsewhere. So if anyone wants to know, we are in SC getting a new ski rack on Friday, we then head to Drumheller as I have never seen the dinosaur museum and Prez loves dinosaurs, Trista is excited about it too and then hit Fairmont on Sun of next week. I feel I can leave these dates as we got a new security system in our house. Bells, chimes and whistles up the wahzoo! Well should probably get going and ready for the ski hill here. | | |
| Well I had a fabulous birthday. Since when is the last time I said that! Those of you that know me, know that birthdays have been pretty low key since my 26th. I was first either pregnant, had a newborn or way up north. This year, it started out on the ski hillThen moved to Saskatoon for some awesome shopping ( I finally own a whole Lululemon outfit) watersliding and great food with mom, dad, Jason and Terra and the boys. Although my husband is still working in the correction facility here, we did spend a nice evening at home after we got back on Sunday where of course my dozen long stemmed red roses were waiting with dark chocolate. We had had the flu all week but seem to finally be emerging out of it. | | |
